Meet the Tinklers team

We are delighted to introduce you to our team, who have vast experience and knowledge in the motorcycle industry. We are extremely proud of our team, several have been with us for many years offering customer service at the highest level.

Alison Newstead

Director

Alison joined Tinkler’s in 1981, starting work in our Clothing & Helmets department before moving into an administration role helping the company continue to grow and improve. Alison then became a Director in 1997, she has seen lots of change over the years and is incredibly proud of what has been achieved.

GRANT NEWSTEAD

SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE

Grant joined the team in 2011 as Sales support, learning his trade before progressing to a Senior sales executive role. Grant has previously competed for Team Tinkler’s Yamaha in the British Superbikes championship for 5 years achieving some fantastic results. Grant has always had a passion for motorcycles and has demonstrated from a young age the desire to offer the best service he can to customers.

PHIL STRATTON

PARTS & ACCESSORIES MANAGER

Phil joined Tinkler’s in 1985, starting as an apprentice mechanic and working in our workshop for several years, building parts and servicing knowledge not to be rivalled by many. Phil progressed to be our Parts & Accessories manager, this has utilised Phil’s knowledge and experience of Yamaha parts in an ever-changing market place.

DAVE WALTERS

SALES ADVISOR

Dave joined the team in 2018 with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the motorcycle trade. Previously Dave served over 40 years with another Yamaha dealership before making his way to Tinkler’s. Dave has become an integral part of the team helping our customers in many ways, from bike purchases to parts and accessories.

LUKE YALLOP

TECHNICIAN

Luke joined our team in 2014 and from day one he has shown a hunger and desire to learn about the Yamaha range. Luke has continued to show his value to the team by passing all Yamaha training modules and delivering the customer service levels required in our workshop.

Carrie  Laskey

 Administrator

Carrie joined us in 2021, she has been nothing but a welcome addition to our fantastic experienced team. Carrie brings a wealth of  previous customer service and admin experience. Carrie has been a good fit from the start.

Day to day you will find Carrie answering the phone helping with customer enquiries and supporting the rest of the team.

Charlie McIntyre

E-Commerce  Administrator

Charlie joined us having previously worked for a motorcycle clothing company, riding bikes herself she quickly became a very good fit with our team, day to day Charlie looks after our websites keeping on top of our constantly changing product ranges.

Robert Willimott

Sales Executive

Rob joined our team in 2021, fresh from working in a car dealership for a number of years but always having the passion for motorcycling, when the opportunity came up Rob made the leap. His enthusiasm, love for motorcycling shines through on a daily basis in the showroom.
